![]() Our wooden Hot Tubs can be assembled in various woodspecies. Additionally also plastic models are available in all kind of woodspecies on the outside.
Our Wood fired Hot Tubs can be supplied in the following wood species: 1. Siberian spruce; 2. Siberian Larch wood; 3. Oak; 4. Canadian Western Red Cedar. 1. Siberian Spruce ![]() Our hot tubs can be made of real Spruce from Siberia. The wood often has a bright white color. It is highly recommended to treat the wood on the outside 1 or 2 times a year, by using line-seed oil.
2. Siberian Larch ![]() Models in Larch wood are the most sold. Larch grows more slowly and therefore has a higher wood density, and contains a higher resin substance. This wood has a much warmer brown color, with beautiful visible grain.
Because of the natural wood impregnation, the bathtub is more resistant to the weather. Due to this and the reletively little difference in price, Larch has become the most sold wood for Wood fired Hot Tubs.
3. Oak
Like Larch wood, Oak wood has a much better natural impregnation making it last longer. An other important advantage of Oak is that it is very, very hard and therefore very long durable.
In especially in the beginning Oak may cause a bit more problems before it is watertight (this may take a week sometimes instead of a day for Larch), but after a while when the warm wather has gone thought the wood, it will be waterthight as well.
4. Canadian Western Red Cedar ![]() Canadian Western Red Cedar wood is the most durable wood execution, we can make a wooden bathtub. This wood grows only in North America, is quite light but extremely durable. Reason why many Hot Tubs are perrformed in Cedar wood is wood that has a strong flavouring effect used with hot water.
Performances are also possible in other woods such as teak, but made only on request. |
